Monarch Films, Inc. is now making available the Quest Series format rights. The Quest series was first produced in Canada by Frantic Films who has produced four successful series. Each of the existing series have been ratings successes. The series such as ?Quest for the Bay? (5 x 1 hr. series) which was first broadcast in January of 2002 in Canada (over 2.3 million viewers to date and was History Channel Canada highest rated doc series that season) and later, this series did extremely well on America Television on both PBS, and History International and recently in Australia on XYZ's Lifestyle Channel. Following "Quest for the Bay" came another series in the Quest format titled "Klondike: Quest for Gold" which also premiered on History Channel Canada and later premiered to huge national ratings in the US on the History Channel. The series also did very well on YLE in Finland and XYZ in Australia. The newest Quest series "Quest for the Sea" premiere on PBS this summer and History International USA this fall, after scoring another ratings success on History Channel Canada. The Quest format is simple. In a Quest series, a group of individuals travel back in time to relive a great historical adventure exactly as the original people did. These unscripted cinema verit? series create an amazing mix of human drama, historical insight and high adventure. The Quest series have been a massive ratings success and have been lauded by television critics for an innovative and unusual approach to story telling. Every Quest series explores how a group of ?average? people see what it was really like to live through an important part of history. Once in the ancestral setting, these individuals are called upon to achieve a goal in the same way the original participants would have. We are seeking to license the Quest format directly or to act in partnership to create a Quest series unique to your territory.
