GREAT PROJECTS FILM CO. TO SHOOT ?AMERICA REBUILDS, PART II, FOUNDATIONS OF FREEDOM? -- SEQUEL TO GROUND ZERO RECOVERY TO BE SEEN ON 5th ANNI. OF 9-11 ATTACK. All non-US licensing rights to be represented and introduced at MIPCOM 2005 by Monarch Films, Inc.

NEW YORK? Great Projects Film Co., which produced, ?America Rebuilds Part 1,? the definitive record of the recovery at Ground Zero in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack that destroyed the World Trade Center, has begun work on the sequel to that historic broadcast.

?America Rebuilds, Part II, Foundations of Freedom?  (1 x 56 minutes) will be seen nationwide on PBS on the fifth anniversary of the attack, September 11, 2006.  In ?American Rebuilds? which began shooting on October 31, 2001 and finished in May 2002 with the ceremonial completion to the recovery, Emmy-winning filmmakers Ken Mandel and Dan Polin recorded the overwhelming, improvisational engineering effort it took to find the dead and clear the Trade Center site.  Also featured in the program, which benefited from a grant of complete access to the site and its workers by then New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani, were the beginnings of the political maneuvering that would mark the efforts to rebuild the site and the beginnings of the healing process for the families of the dead, much of which continue today.  The sequel will have similar special access.

??America Rebuilds, Part II, Foundations of Freedom? will pick up where Part I left off, at the ceremony marking the end of the recovery process in May 2002,? says Great Projects? Mandel.  ?We will follow up with many of the people we covered in the original broadcast, including families of the dead, the firemen and construction workers who cleared the site, and the engineers and civil servants who managed the process.  In the sequel, we will focus also on the politics of rebuilding and the ongoing healing process.?

The original ?America Rebuilds? was seen on PBS on September 10, 2002, the eve of the first anniversary of the terrorist attack. Both America Rebuilds: A Year at Ground Zero and ??America Rebuilds, Part II, Foundations of Freedom? is available for international licensing thru Monarch Films, Inc. booth 14:30 at MIPCOM
